Resumo

Measuring quality of life and wellbeing is a huge challenge that we have just only started to address, as new technologies tend to find new ways of digitally measuring it and the researchers develop new methods, scales and questionnaires. However, in both cases, incidental findings and ethical issues may appear. In order to better address possible conflicts arising in this context, this article provides a brief review of concepts (e.g. wellbeing, quality of life, subjective wellbeing), followed by an attempt to pave the way for the future drawing on guidelines regarding improved technology-enabled measurement of wellbeing.
